Line-In Recording
The Line-In connector on the Creative Jukebox 3 supports both analog and
optical signals (the type of signal will be automatically detected by the
player). The audio can be recorded in either MP3 or WAV format. If the WAV
format is used, the resulting audio quality can surpass that of a MiniDisc
(MD) and be as good as DAT. Best results are achieved by recording optically
at 48kHz.
To record from audio player connected to the Line-In jack:
- Connect the audio source (e.g. a Pre-Amplified microphone) to the Line
In on the Creative Jukebox.
- From the EAX and System Menu, select Recording and then
select Open (as indicated on the appropriate soft key/button)
- Use the Up/Down buttons to select a specific setting ( e.g. Input
Gain: from 1-15 or Boost: On/Off ). The chosen setting may be adjusted
accordingly using the Plus/Minus buttons.
- Next press Arm to activate the Recording Stand By state
- To start the recording press Play, then start the playback on
the audio source. Press Stop or Pause to stop / pause your
recording. Press Resume to continue the recording.
- To delete the recording, select Discard. To save the recording
- select Save . If you wish to name the resulting audio file, you
can do so using Plus/Minus to change the letter and Up/Down buttons
to shift the position of the ^ marker to the left or right accordingly.
To save the file under the chosen filename press Done.
By default, audio recordings are saved as .WAV files in the Genres/Recordings directory
on your Creative Jukebox. To access this folder, press the Library button.
Select Genres, then Recordings.
Wired Remote Recording
The Creative Jukebox 3 supports voice quality recording at WAV/22.05kHz
or MP3/64kbps via the optional Wired Remote.
Note - Jukebox records at 16 bit not 24 bit.
